  • CT scan, also called X-ray computed tomography (X-ray CT) or computerized axial tomography scan (CAT scan), makes use of computer-processed combinations of many X-ray images taken from different angles to produce cross-sectional (tomographic) images (virtual 'slices') of specific areas of a scanned object, allowing the user to see inside the object without cutting.
  • Our Rashi Diagnostic Center has a well established radiology department which practices CT scan in high resolution and high quality done by GT-CTE.
  • CT scanning of the head is typically used to detect infarction, tumors, calcifications, hemorrhage and bone trauma.
  • Used in diagnosis of head and brain diseases.
    • Brain tumors, infarctions, bleeding, fracture of skull bones, hematomas.
    • Also used in sinusitis, ear problems and facial bone defects.
  • C.T. scan used in Neck-tumors, thyroid lymph node diseases and spine abnormalities.
  • Used in diagnosis of chest and thorax abnormalities and diseases like tumors, cancers or TB pleural effusions.
  • Used as a diagnostic tool in abdomino pelvic disease – liver, gall bladder, kidney, bladder, ovaries and testicular abnormalities.
  • Spinal canal, spinal cord, spinal bone diseases can be made out.
  • C.T. scan also helps in diagnosis of soft tissue tumors of blood vessels, muscles, nerves and fatty tissues.
